Can you imagine your make-up routine sans all the chemical nasties invading your bloodstream? These days it's hard to find a good product to live up to our expectation of texture, smell, staying power without containing some of the following: parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic preservatives and silicone.
The latter is virtually included in the ingredient list of potions claiming to be all natural and organic. We shouldn't trust any brand, well, at least not until we have thouroughly read the text in small font sizing on the back. If you have concerns about any of the bottles in your make-up bag, take the time to find out to what extent you are loading your liver, and hence - your skins' long-term appearance, with unsuitable chemical cocktails. 1. Lavera Natural Liquid Foundation
Why we love it:
From foundations to eye-shadows, hair pomades to shampoos, silicone is what companies go for to obtain the silky smooth texture that simply glides. These days it's hard to find a good base that doesn't contain silicone or in case you find one, you can't afford the splurge, or dislike the color range. Laveras' foundation is affordable, the shades are brilliant and free of silicone. The product gives a seamless dewy look that doesn't feel as if you've placed a mask. It's a bit tricky to apply, if you're already a silicone addict, but you'll get used to it quickly. It is recommended to use your finger-tips instead of a brush.
